TEHRAN -- MP Hossein Sobhaninia of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee has said that the country’s detention centers should be improved and continuously monitored.

“The detention centers across the country should be improved and they should be accurately monitored,” he told the Mehr News Agency on Wednesday.
Sobhaninia added, “Improving the country’s detention centers and monitoring every one of them is a must. All detention centers should meet the necessary standards for detaining suspects.”
Commenting on unconfirmed reports claiming that there is a “minus four detention center”, the MP stated that the existence of such a center has not yet been proven.
“I had heard of this detention center before, but the reports were not documented,” he added.
Sobhaninia also said that the parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee will be reviewing the issue of the detention centers in the near future
